COMMENTS:
This painting offers us a personal interpretation of a scene we all know so well. Eleanor’s use of copper and silver paint is skilfully applied to present a scene after a bushfire that is both devastating and beautiful or enchanting. I selected this painting because of its strong eerie light and the way it stays with me afterwards, I kept returning to it.
